Needle holders are used to place sutures in endoscopic surgery using suture material suitable for the size of the needle holder.

Locking the ratchet:You can lock the ratchet by closing the needle holder until the ratchet clicks audibly into place and the requaired needle clamping force is attained.

Releasing the ratchet:You can release the ratchet by closing the needle holder slightly and pressing the handle laterally toward each other,and then releasing the pressure on the handle.
