Intended Use

Reusable trocars are intended to establish a port of entry for endoscopic instruments used during laparoscopic or thoracic surgery.

Contraindications for Use

The instrument is not intended for use when endoscopic techniques are contraindicated.

Product Description

Trocar cannula is equipped with a sealing system for maintenance of pneumoperitoneum during insertion and withdrawal of instruments.

Trocar obturator is available with autoshield and pyramidal configurations.

Trocar reducer is available with several types which satisfy customer varied requirements.

Sealing cap need to be checked and replaced regularly.

General Instructions for Use

1.The trocar obturator and cannula may be packaged unassembled. Assemble the trocar by inserting the obturator into the trocar cannula until they match together.

2.Select and follow a suitable endoscopic and/or laparoscopic protocol.

3.If the trocar is packaged with the stopcock in its open state. To prevent exsufflation during insertion, close the valve prior to use.

4.Establish the primary puncture site and insufflate the operative cavity using recommended procedures.

5.Make a small incision where instrument will be introduced.

6.Ensure there is no blood vessel or grume existing in incision area. Insert the obturator and cannula according to the texture level of tissue through the incision by applying continuous controlled downward pressure until the body cavity has been completely penetrated.

7.To insufflate, attach a gas line to the trocar port and open its valve.

8.Remove the obturator and insert appropriately sized instruments. Trocar reducer can be put on if the operator needs to insert varied sized instruments.

9.At the end of the procedure, leave the laparoscope in place during exsufflation and removal of the trocar cannula.

Exteriorization of the cavity contents can occur if the laparoscope is first pulled from the cannula.

Clean, Disinfection and Sterilization

Clean: We recommend using the ultrasonic cleaning method.

Disinfection: It is recommended to be disinfected by 2% alkaline glutaraldehyde. Please follow the instruction of disinfectant manufacturer.

Sterilization: We recommend using the moist heat. the sterilization parameter listed below:

Storage

Stored in controlled environment, which is kept away from the sun, rats, fire, insects and caustic gas, as well as with good ventilation.

Storage temperature range: -20℃～50℃, relative humidity range: 10%～80%
