All types of cystoscopes have certain special attachments. Now only the attachments inherent in ordinary cystoscopes are described as follows:
1. Power supply wiring and latch switch: Usually a battery or power transformer can be connected to the cystoscope through the power supply wiring. There are two types of latches: latch type and rotary type. Due to the different types of cystoscopes, these two types of latches are not interchangeable.
2. Rubber caps: there are big and small; some have holes and some have no holes. They can be sleeved on the small metal tube at the back of the intubation speculum as needed to prevent water leakage.
3. Flushing device: German-made Wolf cystoscope adopts an automatic spring occluder installed at the rear end of the mirror sheath. It is automatically closed after the speculum is pulled out to prevent liquid from flowing out. You need to insert a metal flusher to fill or release water. Inch cystoscope flushing devices are installed on both sides of the rear end of the mirror sheath, and are connected by a three-way switch. It can be flushed or drained as needed during peeping, which is more convenient than Wolf cystoscope.
4. Cotton circle: the front end has threads, which can be rolled with cotton, used as a cystoscope for cleaning or drying after use.
5. Cold light source: It is a tungsten light box with a bromine light source with brightness adjustment. After passing AC power, the bromine tungsten lamp can emit a very bright light source.
6. Light guide: It is composed of extremely fine countless optical fibers, which is used to connect the cold light source and the cystoscope, and guide the extremely bright light to the front end of the cystoscope to exit, which is an ideal lighting device in the modern cystoscope.
