Maintenance and repair of laparoscopic instruments

Maintenance and repair of laparoscopic instruments
There are many basic instruments for laparoscopic instruments, mainly including laparoscopic lenses, separating forceps, non-invasive forceps, Veress needles, large grasping forceps, endoscopic coagulation hooks, bipolar electrocautery, ultrasonic scalpels and disposable incisions device etc. Connected to a monitor, it can provide real-time images during surgery. Separating forceps are mainly used to separate tissues, and non-injury forceps are more suitable for clamping tissues and organs, such as gallbladder, intestine, liver, etc., with less damage.

1. Maintenance of laparoscopic instruments

1. Familiar with the name, purpose and disassembly of each equipment.

2. The instruments on the lap should be handled with care. Do not throw, rub, or collide with each other, or hold multiple instruments with one hand at the same time.

3. During the use, cleaning and maintenance of all instruments, the joints must not be forced, the tip must not touch hard objects, and the small parts of the instrument must not be lost.

4. Apply lubricating oil to the movable joints of the knee instruments, and maintain all the instruments once a week to prevent rust and ensure their good working condition.

5. The sharp knee cutting instrument should be put on a rubber protective cover before storage to avoid damage to the blade surface.

6. The outer surface of the electric coagulation and electric cutting instruments is covered with a tubular insulating layer. Before using it again, it is necessary to check whether the insulation layer is intact to prevent leakage of electricity during operation and injury to the operator.

7. Pay attention to the protection of the mirror surface: when the endoscope lens is not in use temporarily, a protective cover should be placed on the end of the mirror; when the mirror surface is stained with water or stains, wipe it with lens cleaning paper or first with a cotton ball dipped in soapy water, and then Wipe with a clean cotton ball.

8. When storing camera wires and optical fiber light guides after cleaning, they should be placed in a circle and cannot be folded to prevent the wires from breaking. After each wire is connected to the host, the position must be accurate to prevent damage to the plug.

two. Laparoscopic Instrument Maintenance System

1. The manufacturer regularly visits for routine inspections (at least once a year).

2. The equipment department regularly sends technicians to the operating room to check and maintain all laparoscopic instruments every month.

3. An endoscopic surgery group is set up in the operating room, and a group leader of the equipment is set up to manage and maintain the equipment every week.

4. The head nurse in the operating room checks whether all endoscopic instruments and equipment are working properly every day before the operation.

5. If the speculum equipment in the operating room fails during the operation, it should be stopped immediately and sent to the maintenance department of the equipment department for maintenance.

6. If the laptop device breaks down, if the maintenance department of the hospital equipment department cannot repair it, the hospital equipment department will contact the manufacturer for on-site repair in time.

7. The repaired laparoscopic instruments can only be used after passing the inspection.
