The difference between hysteroscopy and laparoscopy

Hysteroscopy is very different from laparoscopy. Hysteroscopy is suitable for abnormalities in the uterine cavity, such as whether there are endometrial polyps, whether the endometrium is diseased, whether the endometrium has lacunae, whether there is a mediastinum, mainly to see the situation in the uterus, and there are abnormalities in the uterus. Hysteroscope is generally used in various operations performed under hysteroscope. Laparoscopy is different. Laparoscopy is mainly to see if there are any problems in the pelvis, uterus, and ovaries, such as ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, fluids in the fallopian tubes, or hydrops. In this case, laparoscopy can be used. There are also special situations, such as blockage of the fallopian tubes, when a hysteroscopy combined with guide wire intervention is required, both of them can be used at the same time. Therefore, as the name suggests, hysteroscopy is used for some diagnosis and treatment in the uterine cavity, while laparoscopy is mainly used for intra-abdominal laparotomy and open surgery. Laparoscopy is generally used for abdominal surgery.
